The Maltese Web – “Great Book. I read it in 2 days!”

One of the many fantastic reviews I am receiving for my novel.

I have had a great time meeting people and talking about the book. The positive responses and feedback has been quite humbling. Pleasingly not only have people loved the story but it has also sparked interest in Malta and brought back memories for those readers who lived on or visited the island.

Even those readers who have never been to Malta commented, “Despite never having been to Malta I got a good sense of the location and could picture it well in my mind.”

The responses that have been most pleasing noted the unfolding story that kept people turning the page and how I paced the story, maintaining the reader’s interest. Best of all, their comments on how Marica has been brought to life and the emotional attachment that readers made to my main character.

Take the advice from one of my reviewers ‘If you like your thrillers, this is the book for you. Twists and turns to get you in and keep you in. The book weaves in the Maltese culture and landscape while telling a story that isn’t resolved until the final page.

It is the story of Marica Debono and her attempt at redeeming her career while trying to outwit Russian criminals who are attempting to use Malta to launder their money. In her attempts to thwart the criminals she encounters a web of secrets which exposes the truth about her father’s business. As she confronts her own past and risks everything to protect her home, Marica realises she must destroy the web to protect her island and those she loves.

Will Marica uncover the secrets in time to save herelf and her loved ones?
